Day 3 - Old Niagara Fort and Niagara Falls at Night

On our last day in New York, we visited the Old Niagara Fort on Lake Ontario and went back to see Niagara Falls at night.  We also stopped over in Lewiston and did the Whirlpool Jet Boat Tour.  Mom and I took a wild ride on the Niagara River and went through some level 5 rapids on this tour.  It was pretty awesome and we got drenched!

Day 2 - Niagara Falls

On our second day, we visited Niagara Falls.  We only went to the American side since mom and dad do not have passports.  Although I have heard that the Canadian side gives a much better view of the falls, I loved the American side.  The park was beautiful and we got some great views of the falls and the rapids.  Mom and I also did the Cave of the Winds and the Maid of the Mist which gave us a great view of the falls.

From the NY side of the falls, you also get a good view of Canada.

Mom and I did the Cave of the Winds.  On the Cave of the Winds they give you a snazzy pair of sandals and a yellow pancho.  You take an elevator down below the American and Bridal Veil Falls and get to experience the falls from below.  You walk up a deck of stairs that leads you to the Hurricane Deck that shoots off lots of wind and water.  We only took my iPhone down to take pictures because we weren't sure how safe a camera would be.

It's hard to see those little people down there but it is me and mom waving up at Dad.

Mom and I also took the boat ride known as the Maid of the Mist.  The Maid of the Mist is a boat ride that takes you down right into the bottom of the Horseshoe Falls.  It was an amazing ride down the Niagara River.  You get a beautiful view of all the falls on the Maid of the Mist.  Definitely one of my favorite things on this trip.
